Price: 14.25
Appearance: Nice dark barber pole but pretty meh otherwise.
Construction: On the hard side.
Lighting: Nice and even, peaty and strong aroma.
Smoke and Ash Quality: Perfect, tons of that pure grey smoke with light blue ash smoke.
Flavor: (Drunk a Dr Pepper, my go to, with it)
Hints of peat with big notes of oak and aged tobacco. Has a pretty decent kick to it, round about a 6.
The retro is just fucking steeped in rich peaty flavor like a smoky scotch. Loving this truly unique palette, mouth watering.
The aroma is marvelous; woody with just the right amount of peat to accent. Also a little caramel, I believe.
I also note some caramel in the smoke and a bit buttery.
I've never had a cigar with flavors like this.
Yup, definitely a buttery caramel and oak on the forefront.
Not much on the finish, a little peat, maybe, maybe, some leather.
Some pepper starts to build up about 2 inches in and adds a nice little kick.
About halfway the strength picks up with more tobacco flavor. The back half really picks up on the flavors.
Overall:
A very unique cigar, like smoking a good smokey scotch with tons of flavor. Great cigar, 94.
