Cigar Reviewed: Macanudo Vintage Maduro 1997

Smoked at: Wood River Illinois

I love a Maduro Cigar and this cigar is constructed very well with great tobacco and the binder is awesome. I use a straight cut because that's all I have ever used but soon I am thinking about getting a V-Cutter . I have been smoking cigars since I was 15 years old thanks to my Awesome Grandpa. We lived in a farming town and one day I was out walking in the fields with my Grandpa and he was smoking a cigar and I asked him why he smoked cigars ! My Grandpa said why do I smoke cigars, well it's because I can. I asked him if I could try a puff, and he said sure but just don't tell your mom or she will be so very upset about it. My Grandpa said that before he let me smoke it he had 3 rules he followed. 1st rule and most important rule he said is don't inhale or you'll be coughing your head off and your mom will find out. 2nd rule is to roll the cigar between your fingers and switch hands on and off just so you look like you know what you are doing. 3rd rule and most important rule he said is never, ever put someone down because of what they are smoking. He said not everyone can afford expensive cigars but they can enjoy what they can afford. To this day I Remember his rules.
