Smoked: Last Of My Kind Sigma

Smoked at: West Chester, Ohio

Last Of My Kind Sigma begins as a medium body, medium strength smoke with a smooth, toothy, sandy, dark Habano wrapper with veins large enough for a phlebotomist’s approval. The cigar band will get your attention with the bull’s head and horns sticking out of the top of the band.

Oak, earth and leather dominate along with notes of cocoa, coffee, dried fruit, some mild spice/pepper and bread notes in the background. The pepper fades during the second third and the spiciness picks up steam. The body also kicks it up a notch to medium-full.

I can’t say enough about the construction. Perfect draw, produces volumes of smoke, solid ash and a near perfect burn line throughout the smoke. Be careful removing the band. Don’t tear the horns off the bull.

Last Of My Kind Sigma is a well-made cigar – complex, nice transitions and enjoyable flavors. I can’t quite give it a 5, but a 4.5 would be the score, if Cigar World allowed.
