Smoked: Gispert Grand Exhibition

Some of you may remember that I bought a sampler of 4 Grand Exhibition 6 x 52 toros made by 4 different manufacturers not long ago. Today I smoked the first in the series, the Gispert (pronounced he-spare, I believe). It was a delicious, medium strength, medium to medium-full bodied stick. It had complexity, interesting flavor transitions, plentiful smoke production, an excellent draw, and a very good (almost perfect) burn. It paired wonderfully with a Guinness Extra Stout and, around nub time, a shot of peppermint schnapps. I enjoyed it so much that I didn’t want it to end. I hope the other Grand Exhibition toros by H. Upmann, Montecristo, and Romeo y Julieta are equally delicious. Cheers!
