Cigar Reviewed: Gurkha Nicaragua Series
Upon removal of the cellophane wrapper I the following noteworthy attributes. The cigar’s exterior wrapper had a oily sheen. The cigar was firmly packed, with a slight rustic look. After a guillotine cut the Gurkha had a comfortable draw. Also observed during the pre draw a strong woodsy taste was observed. After light up there was a strong pepper and leather taste. I noticed it was constant through the entire cigar. I also observed the smoke had a pleasant creaminess. Cedar and leather taste became stronger near the finish. The cigar had a consistent no maintenance burn. I observed an approximate burn time of 65 minutes.
I had a Blue Moon Mango flavored beer with the cigar. The mango flavor of the beer seemed to bring out a citrusy flavor from the tobacco; note not observed during pre draw. I would definitely recommend this cigar to friends.
