Cigar Reviewed: Gurkha Ghost
Smoked at: St. Charles
Cigar: Gurkha Ghost
Pairing: Black coffee (light sugar, no creamer)
So far, this has been a pretty solid smoke. There’s a nice bit of spice up front noticeable but not overpowering followed by smooth leather tones and a creamy, slightly sugary note that keeps it balanced without turning sweet. The flavor has that dark, earthy depth Gurkha’s known for, with a little hint of cocoa and wood in the background.
Burn was a little uneven at first but leveled out nicely once it got going. For what I’d call an economy-range cigar, the construction and draw are better than expected. Pairs really well with a dark cup of coffee, bringing out the deeper, roasted flavors.
Overall, the Gurkha Ghost is an enjoyable medium-to-full smoke bold, aromatic, and easy to recommend for a relaxed session with coffee or even a dark bourbon later on.
