La Aroma de Cuba Reserva Maximo is a 5.5 x 54 Robusto. Pepin Garcia makes this stick in his My Father factory in Estelí, Nicaragua. This cigar, along with the rest of the Reserva line is a continuation of the La Aroma de Cuba 'Mi Amor' Reserva that was named the #2 Cigar of the Year in 201. That blend was given a 95-point rating and I believe this one is close.

This version uses a dark Cuban-seed Mexican Oscuro wrapper that exhibits a nice oily coating, above the highest quality aged Nicaraguan binder and long filler tobaccos.

This cigars tasting notes include a medium-to- full-bodied set of complex flavors flavors of chocolate, black pepper, earth, leather, and espresso.

Burn time was over an hour for me. No touch ups required with a razor sharp burn. The draw was a little snug but very manageable. I smoked it down to the nub.

If you like Ashton cigars then this is a great budget version of their lineup.
