Cigar Reviewed: Macanudo Inspirado Green

Smoked at: Las Vegas.

This is a cigar review of a Macanudo Inspirado Green by Macanudo Cigars. The size chosen for this review is the robusto. This cigar is composed of a Brazilian Arapirica wrapper followed by a blend of tobaccos from Indonesia, Columbia and the Dominican Republic. This is a full bodied smoke that retails around 6 bucks for the robusto. This Cigar has rich milk chocolate colored wrapper with a few veins and well constructed seams.Cold draw of earth and wood. It has an aroma of smoky cocoa. Used a V cut and the toast brings out the pepper and wood on the palate. As it warms more on the roasting process earth becomes a little more dominant. The second third has a dark chocolate with a slight pepper forefront but leans towards the smoky earthy notes. As the last third grips the cocoa of the profile which marries perfectly with woodsy palate touch. The cigar is a full bodied so not for the medium or lighter smoker. The sharp burn leaves a great ash color and the amount of smoke is fitting as to which it is not overbearing. Enjoyed with Hennessy, neat.

Overall this cigar was a pleasure to smoke. It has a nice blend of cocoa, earthy woods and pepper palate entertainment. It was definitely something different than what I was expecting. The levels of cocoa spice with the wood and pepper are at levels that make this full bodied smoke great for the cool evening night. It gets a double 4 on the dice roll.
