Cigar Reviewed: CAO Colombia

I got this cigar in a sampler pack that was really cheap, so I wasn't expecting a whole lot. But I was plenty surprised. This cigar was a very nice, smooth stogie that tasted great and had no burn problems.

First third, lit up great with no issues or having to correct. The dry pull tasted of almond and a hint of cherries. Immediately upon light up the earthy almond flavor was definitely very prevalent. I normally smoke darker cigars so this lighter stick was definitely a nice change. As I sipped on a glass of Glenlivet Caribbean Reserve, I noticed that the ash from this cigar was VERY white and solid.

Second third, the cherry hints have gone and the earthy almond flavor is coming on alot stronger. I'm definitely starting to get a creamy nougaty flavor on the let out. The burn on this thing is about as crisp as fresh toast.

Final third, the almond taste is all that left. I haven't had to touch up this stick once. I had a little trouble with the cap trying to come apart toward the latter part of the second third, but I think thats just because I have a cheap V-cutter. I was able to stick it back on, and that was that.

Overall, I would definitely buy this cigar again. Very mellow, and nice, rich flavor. The aroma wasn't too pungent either. Good stuff.
