Fratello Sorella Toro — A Disappointing Cigar

This was a disappointing cigar. The draw was hard and difficult, requiring considerably more effort than I expect from a premium handmade cigar. Rather than enjoying a smooth, comfortable smoke, I found myself struggling to get a satisfying draw.
The construction problems became even more apparent around the middle of the cigar, when it developed a burning hole through the center. This was not the typical canoeing problem of one side burning faster than the other. Instead, the cigar burned through the middle, leaving a hollowed-out channel while the surrounding tobacco failed to keep pace. That kind of uneven combustion disrupts the smoking experience and raises questions about the consistency of the filler and the overall construction.
A cigar can have an appealing blend and still fall short where it matters most. Draw resistance makes it difficult to enjoy the smoke, and a central burn channel interferes with the cigar's ability to burn evenly and consistently. Together, these problems turned what should have been a relaxing smoke into an exercise in managing the cigar's performance.
I would not condemn the entire Sorella line based on one example, but I judge the cigar in my hand, not the reputation of the brand. This particular stick failed in two fundamental areas: draw and burn.
Final verdict: A disappointing smoking experience. The restrictive draw and the formation of a central burn hole overshadowed the cigar's potential. For me, construction is every bit as important as flavor, and this Sorella did not deliver the consistent performance I expect from a premium cigar.
