Smoked: Ferio Tego Timeless Panamericana Epicure

Smoked at: West Chester. Ohio

Ferio Tegp is run by the old Nat Sherman gang. Under New Ownership. Let’s see what you got in a Timeless. The Panamericana Epicure features an Ecuador Sumatra wrapper and I must say it looks good. It’s smooth and a little oily. Let’s light it up.

This cigar has a very tight draw, giving it limited smoke production. Out comes the Perfect Draw, which opens it up a bit. Still way too tight. Even a few toothpick pushes does little to get any kind of decent draw. The burn line was beyond erratic and by the halfway point the wrapper develops a crack.

The flavors that stand out are oak, coffee, leather and pepper. It’s very basic with no balance and zero complexity. I’m waiting for nuance notes of other flavors, but none arrive. Between the draw and other construction issues plus the flavor, I get just past the halfway mark and… I can’t smoke this. Into the ash tray it goes.

Nat Sherman Timeless is now the Ferio Tego Timeless. Sorry, but I was never a Nat Sherman fan and this cigar simply reminded me of why. To misquote Wild Bill Shakespeare, “A Nat Sherman by any other name should smell so sweet.” A-hem. Wherefore art thou, Romeo y Julieta?
