Cigar Reviewed: H. Upmann The Banker

Smoked at: Warner Robins, Ga

After reading and enjoying other H. Upmann cigars, The Banker was always just out of reach. When on J&R Cigars and even cigar shops in Florida I was always outbid or couldn't find The Banker which made this cigar seem like this was the bees knees of cigars and everyone had to have it, so this time I made sure I got this cigar because I need to see what the hype was all about. Well, I have to say that this was up to the hype and I found another cigar to keep in my favorites list. The aroma from the smoke gave me subtle hints of a meat smoker and the smooth leathery taste with a little spice here and there made it feel like I should be in a traditional low light smoke room in a bank surrounded by bills, sitting in a leather chair sipping on my bourbon. It was the perfect stick to smoke while winding down for the day. I understand why Carl and Hermann created this stick. I also understand that what was created so long ago isn't the same as now (the different leaf's being used). I really enjoyed The Banker. If you haven't tried it please do. You wont be disappointed.
