Smoked: Davidoff Dominicana 2014

Dominican wrappers, although very flavorful are blotchy and just well yeah not nice looking at all , in my opinion. For years many cigar makers said growing wrapper leaf in the DR was simply not possible...

Until Carlos Fuente made the impossible possible and came out with the Fuente Fuente Opus X. The first Dominican puro cigar. Although very flavorful like i said, the cigars wrapper is often blotchy and has some dark discoloration throughout the leaf.

With Davidoff you would expect impeccable construction, outstanding flavor and atheistically a flawless looking cigar. Well this cigar has checked most of the boxes that signifies DAVIDOFF quality...

Aesthetics ❌ , Construction ✅ , Flavor ✅, Draw ✅. Burn , decent with a few touch ups because I set it down a few times during a conversation. But I would give it a ✅.

Dominican Wrappers are just weird. And that's why many cigar makers do not use Dominican tobacco for wrappers. This Toro had a pig tail that was chopped with a guillotine cut. Cold draw gave me classic Davidoff notes of cream, with a tiny hint of pepper. Coming from that Dominican (Wrapper) my guess. At light up a rush of woody notes come rushing to the palate with a creamy finish. Classic Davidoff. The notes that made me scratch my head were this butter saltiness note that turned into a toasted bread like flavor. I couldn't believe what I was picking up 😂. This Davidoff rocked my world. These Dominicana 2014 are widely available, if you can get your hands on a few I highly recommend for a special occasion.

Thank you for reading my review. God bless you all and as always...

Cheers!!!
