Cigar Reviewed: Belgian Blue 2025
Smoked at: St charles
Tonight I lit up the Crowned Heads Belgian Blue, and this one honestly impressed me from the start. The burn line stayed razor-sharp almost the entire way through no touchups, no canoeing, just a clean, even burn. Flavor-wise, it leans into earthy notes, cocoa, and a soft natural sweetness without heavy spice. It stays balanced and smooth for most of the smoke, with the strength kicking up toward the final third. Since I’m only smoking two to three cigars a week now, I definitely felt that finishing push, but it wasn’t overwhelming. Overall, it was a smooth, enjoyable cigar that delivered exactly what I hoped for.
I always like giving a bit of context in my reviews because I’m big on cigar history how a brand started, how blends evolve, the stories behind the factories, and the generational touch behind certain lines. Crowned Heads is one of those companies built on limited-production releases and yearly drops that shift just enough to stay interesting while still holding onto their core identity. The Belgian Blue fits that approach perfectly.
This year’s version has been getting strong feedback both online and in my local lounge. Smokers who tried older releases said previous years leaned slightly more mellow, while this year’s has a little extra richness and a touch more strength. It still keeps the recognizable Crowned Heads profile, just with an evolved, fuller character. That’s exactly why these limited runs tend to sell out fast they keep things familiar while still giving you something fresh every year.
As for me, I’m glad I picked up more. I bought one at my lounge to support them, and I’ve got a five-pack already on the way. I usually test singles before committing to a full box, but this is one I probably should’ve grabbed a box of right away. If you’re debating whether to pick the Belgian Blue up, I definitely recommend it. Great burn, great flavor, limited production, and the kind of profile that both new smokers and long-time Crowned Heads fans can appreciate.
