Smoked: Caldwell Lost & Found Just The Tip

Smoked at: West Chester, Ohio

Caldwell Lost & Found Just The Tip is another oddly named LNF. The name reminded of restaurant jokes I’ve heard over the years like “I showed up early at the restaurant. The maitre de asked if I would mind waiting a bit? I said sure. He said, ‘Good. Take these drinks to table five.’” I certainly deserved a tip. Maybe it was named after watching an ESPN special on Major League Cow Tipping…or perhaps it’s another Caldwell Lost & Found inspired by an episode of The Real Housewives of the Dominican Republic…or by Melanie’s 1971 hit Brand New Key. Have I covered every conceivable scenario? Pun intended.

This is a medium-mild body, medium strength cigar with a smooth, firm darkish brown wrapper with tiny veins.

Flavor profile: Wood (very woody – cedar, oak), earth, leather, nuts (kind of a cashew-almond mix) and an occasional hint of milk chocolate. The flavors are very basic, no complexity and zero transitions.

There’s a nice cold draw, but a limited amount of smoke output, somewhat firm white ash and a decent burn line.

Puff by puff I’m vacillating between labeling the experience OK/average and enjoyable. That makes me undecided. I guess I should expect a canvassing call from Joe Biden’s favorite cigar’s campaign committee…or Nikki Haley’s…or an email from Robert Caldwell. In which case, my vote could be persuaded by a donation of a box of 22 Minutes to Midnight Connecticut Radiantes…Theoretically. Don’t want to be accused of voter fraud.
