Black Market Illicit - Inconsistent burn

Overall, I like Alec's cigars, they are nice, a tight smoke and a clean draw. I ordered a Black Market series sampler and like most. The Illicits are inconsistent in the way the burn and draw and I am unsure why - they tend to canoe on one side and sometimes both. I tried to correct the side that is not burning right, gently rolling them on the ashtray to remove the ash and relighting, even cutting them behind the ember to retoast the "new" foot, and relight. Some times it works and some times not. When it does, they are a good stick. I give it a 2 for inconsistency.
