Smoked: Rocky Patel Sun Grown

Normally, I'm a robusto guy, but this is a toro, and, as you may recall, The Rocky Patel Sun Grown robusto is one of my very favorite daily-rotation sticks. I got a super deal on a 5-pack of these beauties a while back.

Inside the factory sealed package was a small piece of paper with "Made in November 2019" printed on it. That means the already 5-year aged Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper at time of manufacture is now practically 9 years old, and the already 7-year aged fillers are now almost 11 years old! An exquisite smoke with less pepper than the younger blend, with even deeper, more rich and smoother flavors. WOW

This was an eye opening (and mouthwatering) lesson in the benefits of ageing cigars!
