Another Outstanding Connecticut Broadleaf Wrapped Stick

Cigar Reviewed: La Aroma de Cuba (red band)

Had this stick alongside a cup of coffee with a splash of cream. Did that influence my notes? Yeah undoubtedly I’m sure it did. But hey… this is what I got.

To start: the softest hint of milk chocolate, woody nuttiness, rich smoke, outstanding, even burn.

1/2 way in the toast woody quality becomes cinnamony, the smoke became richer yet, also some toasted nuts (maybe pecans or almonds?) rise up as well.

Down to the last third, some really really lovely nutmeg notes are rising up, particularly on the retrohale. The milk chocolate has returned as well.

This stick is yet another fine example of what a connecticut broadleaf maduro wrapper in combination with excellent blending can do. As I haven’t had this cigar in alternate vitolas I can’t say for sure, but I do wonder how this one compares against the others… but I’m sure that a longer narrower option could be (at least for my palate) even more delicious.
