Smoked: Dunbarton Tobacco Trust Sobremesa Brûlée

After the stellar experiences I've had with DTT cigars, I felt a little adventurous and thought I'd try a Connecticut wrapper. My entire cigar smoking experience spanning just the last 2.5 years, Connecticut wrapped cigars have ranged anywhere from horrible to meh. I've found them to be incredibly peppery or sappy. But I figured if anyone can make one I'd enjoy it's Steve Saka... maybe Matt Booth.

When I touched my lips to the stick I was surprised at the sweetness and assumed that it must be sweetened like the Stillwell Star Line (but later on i did some research and learned that this is apparently an exclusive result of the aging) I torched this puppy up and from first taste I was thrilled. It was so soft... The smoke was rich and alluring... almost buttery. Lots of vanilla and burnt sugar.

As I got into it some lovely toasted almond and cinnamon notes came to the front as well.

This stick just really took me to a happy place and kept me there. As I got down to the nub I really wished that it came in a churchill so I would have more of it to enjoy.

Now to come up with the money to keep boxes around at all times.

Cheers y'all.
