Smoked: Dias de Gloria Nicaragua

Wow!

I'm an AJ Fernandez fan no doubt, but I finally got the Dias de Gloria Nicaragua from my local b&m and it did not disappoint.

Well constructed no flaws. Under the thin cedar wrap was a nice oily wrapper. The aroma pre-light was dark chocolate, cedar, and subtly sweet.

After lighting it up nice smoke with light notes of coffee and vanilla. First draw was nice. Not too easy and not too tight. Typical with AJ Fernandez's products it was spicy and creamy. Mellowed quickly to dark chocolate and vanilla with an added cinnamon sweetness and spice. Second third was smooth with more of milk chocolate and vanilla with notes of leather. Last third was more cinnamon spiciness and cedar developing into the signature peppery and earthy finish. Mild to medium strength.

The burn was even and the ash was strong and white and gray layers. I consider myself to be a slow smoker. This was a gordo 6×58. Time was about 80 minutes.

Overall a great smoke! Highly recommend this stick!
