Smoked: Aganora Leaf Maduro

Smoked at: Fairfield, Ohio

The Aganorsa Leaf maduro has a full pallet of flavors – cedar, cream, dark chocolate, spice, a touch of pepper and dried fruit – I’m calling it raisin or raisin bran-like. It’s a full strength cigar in my opinion. I’m getting a nicotine buzz during the first third.

Now the bad news. The cigar has a tight draw. Although it puts out a generous amount of thick smoke, the ash fell off several times. The wrapper was flaky and the burn line was wildly inconsistent and uneven, numerous touch ups needed. Eventually, the wrapper curled at the burn line and the cigar became unsmokeable.

This is a tough cigar to accurately review. Despite the awful construction issues, I really liked the flavors it produced while I was able to smoke it. This is another cigar to put on the “let’s try it again in a couple of months” list – a subcategory of sometimes cigars can be inconsistent stick to stick. I’m hoping with better luck on the construction I can give this cigar a good review.
