Aganora Leaf Guardian of the Farm Nightwatch Campeon

Cigar Reviewed: Guardian of the Farm Nightwatch

Smoked at: Spring Hill, FL

I was gifted this cigar from one of my regular clients, who was at an event for a local shop. Now, I've smoked quite a few Aganorsa sticks before (mostly the old Casa Fernandez lines before the rebranding), but nothing quite like this one. The construction is a bit venous and unfortunately for the aesthetic of the cigar, the bottom third of the leaf was bleached by the lights of the humidor it was in. That aside, this guy packs a lot of flavor. Aromas of milk chocolate, hazelnut and bramble patches. At first light, you're immediately met with rich earth and pepper notes from the closed foot that settle down into those chocolate notes and very hearty, meaty flavors. On the retrohale, I got a lot of dry hay and corn husk. There is also a very slight sweet note from the oils on the wrapper. Very tight draw with medium smoke, but burned well. I had no need to do any touch ups with this one. That being said, I wish that the level of complexity in flavors were met with strength as well. Medium-full, the strength tends to dance back and forth as you work your way through the cigar. I enjoyed this one.
