This is the first Gurkha cigar I've tried, and I wasn't disappointed at all. It was also the first "flat" cigar I've tried, so it made for an interesting smoking experience. The dry pull definitely had some slight espresso flavors to it. A nice, tight pull, but not too tight.
First third, the light up had a very strong espresso flavor followed by a nice nutty after taste. The burn is nice and crisp. No need for correction. Which is always a promising thing.
Second third, the ash has stayed on all the way through the first, which is something I kinda like. Ash color is a consistent, solid white and doesn't just fall off for no reason. The flavor has stayed pretty consistent. Which is odd, but I enjoy consistency.
Final third, normally by this stage in a cigar this dark you start to get some spicy flavors. Not the case with this one. The flavors have stayed very consistent and enjoyable. The burn on this stogie has stayed pretty sharp the entire time. All in all, this is a very good cigar. Very flavorful, and well put together. It would go very well with a nice blended scotch. I'm gonna have to try the other one in the Revenant line. Quality stogie at a good price.
