Cigar Reviewed: Mark Twain Riverboat

**On the band of the Mark Twain Riverboat it says, "It has been my rule never to smoke when sleeping - and never to refrain from smoking when awake." Knowing what I do about Twain's love of cheap smelly nickel cigars, I'd suspect he might actually shun this stick. It is a 7"x50 Barberpole, easy to smoke, and very even-keeled on the flavor. Not horribly smelling, not overpowering, and frankly a very pleasant flavor profile. So a lot to love... Unless you were Mr. Clemens, who'd have probably preferred something on the bottom shelf of the local 24-hour convenience store over a stick like this. In fact, knowing how Twain loved the smelly, cheap, probably filled with short filler kind of cigars, I actually avoided this brand thinking it might be true to what Twain liked, which is the opposite of what I do. Consider me pleasantly surprised, even if this stick is a little historically inaccurate. While I got this one in a mail-order assortment, and had low expectations, on the whole, I'd buy these intentionally and stick them in my humidor. **
