Cigar Reviewed: Fuente Royal Salute

Smoked at: The Humidor of Westmont - 225 E. Ogden Ave. Westmont, Illinois

I prefer Churchill size cigar range all way up to an ' A ' size (9"= Fuente Masterpiece) This is a great length, 7.5 "+ X 54. Fuente's Royal salute is a very reasonably priced cigar, so with the length you get some decent smoking time in ( 90 min.). It was a pretty even burn throughout. smoke and stayed lit well. Only had to relight 2x (texting distraction ; ). The draw was not good for my first 2 draws but then amazingly became much easier, ( I'd score it 8 out of 10 and ) I used a Colibri V cut ( my FAV ). i didn't notice much complexity throughout the smoke, the earthy flavor staying till the last 3" where it started to get a bit harsh. I'd recommend this cigar to both a new smoker as well as an experienced one.

The Humidor of Westmont, IL,( definitrly decent size humidor) is one of the most relaxing ( BYOB, Lots of big, cushy, leather chairs and couches) and friendly cigar Lounges I've ever been to, ( smoking since 82' ) Tim, the manager with co worker Joe give quick service, advice and free coffe, espresso, water, soda. Gotta check it out. Remember what Mark Twain said, " I have made it a rule never to smoke more than 1 cigar at a time. " Keep Rockin,' keep smokin," John Milan
