A Decent Stick, and a Great Value

My wife wanted to watch a NASA launch tonight, and so that gave me an opportunity to enjoy a second stick today with an Old Fashioned before the rains come in tomorrow. The CI Legends Toro was a perfect stick to enjoy it with.

Generally, I'd shy away from private labels or store brands, but while at an event at a CI store, I gave this stick a try, mainly because Drew Estate allowed their brand to be featured on it. I was impressed enough, I snagged a box, and I'll restock them when I'm done. If you're a fan of ACID or Deadwood or even Tabak Especial, this will feel like a familiar stick for you. It's a straight sweet versus a flavored sweet, but it's a fine "daily driver" that pairs nicely with an Old Fashioned, like I have here. It's got a mellow flavor profile, that doesn't overwhelm with hints of sweet baking spices. On the whole, a solid stick, and a great value.
