Cigar Reviewed: Macanudo Café

Everybody enjoys a Café. Since first trying this cigar in high school, the saved rapper has haunted me and beckoned me to enjoy the creamy-nutty-goodness of this universally loved cigar. Now that I am older and my palate has matured, I was able to have some cold brewed coffee with this wonderful cigar on a beautiful summer morning. I tasted the creaminess of the cigar and the fruitiness of the medium roast cold brew. There were notes of cream, roasted nut, and slight hay. By the middle-end of the cigar, the flavors finally became strong enough to pair and meld with the fruitiness of the cold brew. I found the mellow paired with the fruity flavors to be heavenly.

I know that many think of the Café as merely blowing hot air through a stick, but that may be due to many acquiring a honed palate that is focused on medium to full cigars which take you on rollercoasters through an hour. Those cigars are great in their own way, but there is also something good about a mild to medium cigar that can be paired with something and soar due to a great pairing.
