As I walked the aisles of a bustling PCA show in NOLA this year, I couldn’t help but notice the man wearing a cowboy hat, and I am glad I stopped to chat with him. This man was Danny Jackson, the CEO of Benchmark Humidors. 

Danny is a native Texan and has been making cabinets for 25 years. Now he uses his skill set to create beautiful cigar accessories like portable humidors, cigar drawers, cigar luggage and more. These pieces are each beautifully crafted, using quality materials such as Spanish Cedar and 100% full grain leather, made by the Saddleback Leather Co.®

Danny started smoking cigars in college, and his passion for the product has continued to grow over the years. Most recently, he lent his palate as a taste tester for a new proprietary house blend, The O.B., for Viso Cigar Lounge, a family-owned lounge in McKinney, TX, that launched earlier this year. This stick is available in a toro size with a Mexican San Andreas wrapper & binder and Nicaraguan/Dominican/Honduran filler. All tobacco has been aged for 3-5 years, allowing for a smooth, consistent flavor in this medium-full bodied smoke. The first production run of these cigars sold out in only four days.
