Smoked: Ave Maria Crusader

Spent this beautiful Saturday at the state fair with all prize animals being judged. Came home to enjoy this very nice shorter stick. Great day.

    Big fan of the Ave Maria line — AJ Fernandez really brought something special with these. The Excalibur is in my Top 5: mellow, slightly oaky, and incredibly consistent in construction. Just a smooth, relaxing smoke every time. I’ve also had the Lionheart — lots of cedar and a great draw, definitely one of those sticks that feels handcrafted in all the right ways. Solid line across the board if you’re into smooth balance with character.
