Not gonna lie, I pre-judged this smoke.

It was part of a sampler I purchased and wasn't really expecting much. I picked it to smoke because I was going outside and was afraid the cold would drive me back in before I was done. Which cigar will I not be upset if I have to ditch it halfway through: La Palina KB IV.

That was my mindset going in.

Boy, was I wrong.

The construction was perfect. The draw was one of the best I've had and everything else was A+. The notes hit around the earthy, spicy & pepper. The profile states Full but it didn't punch me in the mouth. The smoothness of the smoke made it enjoyable from start to finish. A good affordable cigar.

I stayed outside until it was done.

I enjoy La Palina cigars. They have a large portfolio of good mid price level sticks.

I don't know why I had in my mind that it was going to be bad/subpar but it was really smooth and enjoyable.
