A Connecticut with Unexpected Fire

Smoked: Drew Estate Blackened S84 Shade to Black

As someone who doesn't typically favor Connecticuts, I was pleasantly surprised by the Drew Estate Blackened S84 Shade to Black, finding its robust, spicy, and creamy profile—likely due to that Nicaraguan Maduro filler—to be genuinely enjoyable. The effortless draw and absolutely perfect burn made the experience incredibly smooth, allowing those deeper, richer flavors to truly shine. This cigar really delivers more "oomph" than expected from a Connecticut, making it a standout for anyone seeking complexity beyond a traditional mild smoke.

Those S84s are easily in my top 3 Connecticut favs, along with the JDN Cabinetta and the Room 101 Johnny Tobacconaut(which I bought a couple more in the Gordo size earlier today).

Not typically a Connecticut guy either, but I really enjoy this stick.
