Case in point?

Smoked: Diesel d.5

Let’s see if I can’t make my case here like a good defense attorney does. I’ll probably fail miserably, that’s why I flunked out of law school. Saturday night I enjoyed ia Davidoff Colorado Clairo. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a wonderful stick. But I bitched about the price point. Here in this diesel d.5 I get very similar flavor notes. The roasted peanut flavor, a Malt note, Some white pepper, and leather in the background. Is it as creamy as the Davidoff, No. Is the smoke, a little, perhaps, harsher… Yes. does it pour more smoke, yes.different wrappers , different, long, fillers, similar flavors… and 75% cheaper.. yup I’m going to be disbarred for comparing apples and oranges 🤦‍♂️

"Order in the court!" (Order more Diesel's, lol.) I agree with TommyH2sT about the elitist Davidoff "mystique," although credit is due to their exacting quality standards and extensive tobacco warehousing. Whereas I really enjoyed the Davidoff Nicaragua Diadema recently, yesterday I smoked a Davidoff Winston Churchill Robusto. --MEH-- I felt like an idiot for spending $85.00 for a sampler of 4 various Davidoff's (the Diadema was purchased separately). The WC was so ho-hum that I'm not even going to bother to showcase it here. What a waste. I hope the remaining 3 sticks (a Winston Churchill Late Hour Robusto, a Gran Cru Robusto, and a Nicaraguan BXP Robusto) are better.

That late hour, needs to cook for a while. I remember scoring a five pack somewhere. Like an idiot, I probably smoked three of them in the first week.I thought” what’s the big deal”! A few of them fell asleep, naked in my humidor for quite a few months, man, what a difference!!! Still, to pricey for me.

Ah, thanks for the recommendation to let the LH chill for a while. I'll do just that.

ANYTHING with the Davidoff logo on it is going to be priced significantly more than anything on the market. They can roll up dog shit and sell it for good money lol and people would say it was great. Davidoff has a cult following of luxury and excellence. I never had a bad Davidoff btw and their cheaper brands, Griffins, Cusano, Camacho etc are all great too. Idk lol. That's my take, that is all lol.

I agree. That little Camacho Corjo Robusto, kills it! And you could literally score them for four bucks each on CBID.
