This year (2026), Cohiba collaborated again with El Titan de Bronze to craft a limited edition cigar in the Serie M line. The latest release, Cohiba Serie M Reserva Plata, boasts a powerful and nuanced blend. And, like all Serie M Cigars, it was hand-made by Certified Level 9 Rollers at the El Titan de Bronze Factory in Miami.

“This is our 6th Serie M Release, and it continues to be a pleasure working with El Titan de Bronze to create a special expression each year for this line,” said Sean Williams, brand ambassador for Cohiba, in a press release. “Serie M Reserva Plata is just that… special. It marks only the second time we’ve ever used a San Andrés wrapper on any Cohiba cigar. Married with the rest of this terrific blend, Serie M Reserva Plata really delivers a deep, rich, well-balanced profile.”

In addition to the San Andrés wrapper, Reserva Plata features a Nicaraguan Estelí binder, and Nicaraguan Jalapa (Viso and Ligero), Estelí, and Dominican Piloto Cubano fillers. Like all previous Serie M releases, Reserva Plata is a limited-edition cigar.

As of this writing (2026), the cigars in the Cohiba Serie M line are the only Cohibas to be made in the United States. And today, we’re going to take a closer look at the entire line and track its evolution.

The Story of Serie M

To understand Serie M, you first have to appreciate the two collaborators behind it. The first is Cohiba, one of the most successful and recognizable names in the cigar industry. For more on Cohiba, click here.

The second is El Titan de Bronze, a relatively small but highly respected boutique cigar factory located in Miami’s Little Havana neighborhood.

El Titan de Bronze takes its name from Cuban war hero, Antonio Maceo Grajales, nicknamed “The Bronze Titan” for his remarkable bravery and tenacity in battle. The El Titan de Bronze Factory was established in 1995 and has since produced exceptional cigars for brands like Romeo y Julieta, Drew Estate, Partagas, and, of course, Cohiba.

In 2021, the two organizations partnered to produce a remarkable and unique cigar: the original Serie M.

The first Serie M featured a Nicaraguan forward blend including a Nicaraguan Corojo wrapper, a Nicaraguan binder, and a combination of lush Nicaraguan and Dominican tobaccos.

“I am honored that we were chosen to craft the first American-made Cohiba cigars,” said Sandy Cobas, owner of El Titan de Bronze, in a press release at the time. “For this important collaboration, we created a cigar using only the most exquisite tobacco, working together with the Cohiba team at General Cigar. Unlike in other countries where cigar makers work in teams, our cigar makers at El Titán de Bronze personally create each cigar from start to finish, and we put their name on every single box they make.”

The cigar received acclaim from both critics and fans, and earned a 90 rating from halfwheel. The first frontmark was a classic Toro (6 X 52).

The next two years, Cohiba and El Titan reproduced this instant classic in limited quantities, but in different sizes — a Corona Gorda (6.5 X 48) in 2022 and a Prominente (7 X 50) in 2023.

Cohiba Serie M Reserva Roja

In 2024, Cohiba Serie M evolved to feature an updated blend and revamped packaging. Called Reserva Roja, the new cigar included a Nicaraguan Corojo binder to match the Corojo wrapper. And, it was crafted in a new size, a 6.5 X 54 frontmark named Magnum.

The second-to-most recent Serie M release marked the first time the line did not feature a Nicaraguan wrapper. Instead, for Reserva Azul, artisans used a Dominican Corojo wrapper along with rich Nicaraguan tobaccos.
