The Best Time To Smoke a Cigar

When’s the best time to smoke a cigar? Well, there’s no “wrong answer” to this question. The best time to smoke a cigar is whenever you feel like it! While cigars are great for marking a special occasion, they also make wonderful everyday diversions. Here are some of our favorite times to smoke a cigar.

Special Occasions

Generally speaking, cigars are a natural complement to special occasions. Traditionally, new parents celebrate the birth of a child by handing out cigars to friends, family, and associates. But there are plenty of special occasions that call for a premium smoke.

A few typical special occasions that go great with cigars are:

  • Birthdays
  • Anniversaries
  • Graduations
  • Retirements
  • Weddings
  • Holidays

These celebrations tend to be more formal, but no matter what your special occasion is, there’s a cigar that’s perfect for the moment.

Trips

Bachelor and bachelorette parties are prime cigar-smoking excursions. In fact, any time you combine good friends and good vibes, cigars are a welcome addition. And if you’re on vacation, what better way to relax for an hour or two than with a high-quality cigar?

Celebrations

Some special occasions can’t be planned for. Getting a promotion at work. Your favorite team winning “the Big Game.” For these moments of spontaneous celebration, nothing beats lighting up a big cigar and partying the night away.

“Small” Moments

If you only enjoy cigars at special occasions, then more power to you. There’s nothing wrong with capping a big moment with a cigar. But if you’re like us and you want some more great times to light up a cigar, well, you’ll likely enjoy this list.

These are some of the best times we’ve indulged in a cigar:

  • At the start of a three-day weekend
  • Right after cutting the grass
  • Golfing
  • At a tailgate
  • While grilling
  • When a friend comes to visit
  • With a morning cup of coffee
  • After a big steak dinner
  • On a random weeknight

After the last email has been sent (usually late evening), I like to enjoy a nice maduro smoke with a cup of black tea. Just sit back, relax, and reflect upon on my day.

While I do smoke and enjoy cigars at all hours of the day, the morning cigar is my favorite. Either alone or with friends. Its cool, comfortable and I have nice strong cup of coffee to pair with it.

An "Evening Cigar" . . . The work day is finally over. What better way to unwind and recap the day’s events than with your favorite cigar? Your mind is at peace, you’ve poured yourself a glass of your favorite adult beverage or just any beverage.
