Cameroon Tobacco

Cameroon wrappers have a significant place in the cigar lexicon and industry. To this day, they remain among the most sought-after—and the most expensive—commercially available wrappers.

As Cohiba Brand Ambassador Sean Williams notes Cohiba was at the forefront of preserving their production.

What makes the Cameroon wrapper so special is that its profile and characteristics simply can’t be replicated. The Cameroon wrapper actually originates from Sumatra, Indonesia, making its African cultivation story even more unique.

The wrapper’s signature traits include a subtle yet distinctive spice and a deep, pronounced richness. It’s also notoriously temperamental—difficult to work with and prone to loss during production—which adds to its rarity and cost.

Cameroon cigars are definitely an after dinner cigar as it’s depth and strength play well after you’ve had a hearty meal. These cigars are amazingly enjoyable after a meal such as Steak Diane with potatoes and a glass of Merlot. It also goes well with Johnnie Walker Black Label as it has a slight vanilla undertone with notes of toffee and spice. @cigarbueno IG
