Subtle tasting notes like raisin are sometimes difficult for new smokers to notice. However, as you develop your palate, you will begin to pick up on small hints of dried fruit — such as raisin — in a number of premium cigars.
Typically, raisin notes occur in darker cigars. This is particularly true of cigars with heavy hints of chocolate or coffee. As one might guess, chocolate and raisin flavors go well together in a cigar.
