Dried fruit tasting notes (raisin, prune, apricot) complement rich and nuanced cigar flavor profiles. No blend that we know of is dominated by notes of dried fruit, but a hint of apricot or raisin can interplay nicely with flavors like chocolate, caramel, or cream.
In addition, some cigars that contain tobacco aged in wine or sherry barrels may develop slightly fruity notes. Again, don’t expect dried fruit to overpower more common flavors in a smoking experience. Dried fruit tasting notes are slightly more likely to appear in darker cigars than lighter ones.
