This is what a classic should taste like.
From the first light, the Vintage 1992 delivers that signature Rocky Patel balance—smooth, refined, and quietly complex. The aged 10-year Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper is the real star here. Rich, slightly oily, and dark with a texture that tells you it’s been aged right.
Construction is solid. The draw is easy, and the burn line—though it wandered once—corrected itself like a good long-leaf filler should. Firm ash, zero relights.
Flavor-wise, there’s an immediate warmth. Earth and leather lead the way. Any sweetness is faint—more roasted than sugary. Midway through, I picked up a little espresso and maybe some dark fruit in the background. Subtle, not showy.
The 6.5” Toro gives you a solid 90-minute burn—perfect for a quiet evening with a cup of black coffee or just time to think.
Rocky Patel nailed it with the Vintage 1992. No gimmicks, and just enough class with that black and gold band. A well-aged, expertly made cigar that does exactly what it should.
