Tatuaje 10th Anniversary Bon Chasseur

Smoked: Tatuaje 10th Anniversary Bon Chasseur

Smoked at: Wetherington, Ohio

Tatuaje 10th Anniversary Bon Chasseur is made with a Nicaraguan binder and filler and covered in an oily Ecuador Habano wrapper with nearly invisible seams and small veins. The band is oval – gold on brown. The cigar was released to commemorate the 10 year partnership of Pete Johnson and Don Pepin Garcia back in 2013

Cedar, initially heavy pepper that subsides in a few minutes, earth, dark roast coffee, chocolate/cocoa, and cream. There’s spice with an interesting sweetness melding into the mix midway through the first third. A hint of tart orchard fruit, raisin, slightly citrus, whatever. Hard to describe but it’s there. The second third adds some hints of leather, mixed nuts, toffee and a buttered bread/toast note. This bad boy is loaded with interesting flavors. It's medium-full bodied and medium strength.

Tight dtaw to start but a Perfect Draw hit and it’s open for business, solid smoke output, one small touchup keeping the burn line dead even, and ash that held to over an inch until tapping off.

Tatuaje 10th Anniversary Bon Chasseur has plenty of flavors with a subtly refined balance. I am a Tatuaje fan. It’s not quite in the Cojonu range, but I like the Bon Chasseur a lot.
