Cigar Reviewed: Punch Egg Roll
Morning smoke after a midnight shift, and this one hit perfectly for Chinese New Year.
Right from the start, there’s a subtle sweetness that comes and goes, not overpowering, just enough to keep it interesting. The toasted oak is consistent throughout, backed by a light chocolate note that sits more in the background than upfront.
On the retrohale, you get a peppery sweetness, not sharp or aggressive, just balanced. It adds character without overwhelming the profile. Overall, I’d call it medium-bodied, smooth, and very controlled.
What really surprised me was the pairing. I went with mint and chamomile tea with vanilla-infused raw honey, and it paired incredibly well. The tea softened the pepper while amplifying that subtle sweetness in the cigar. Clean, smooth combination.
Burn line has been even, smoke production is solid, and construction is on point. Nothing overpowering, nothing harsh, just quality all around.
Definitely box-worthy for me. Punch did this one right.
Update:
After I wrote my first review, I decided to buy a box to see if I would enjoy it. I'm glad I did. The product blends well with other drinks and is truly amazing. Many lounges are currently offering great deals on full boxes. After several uses and being halfway through my box, I can say I truly enjoy it. If you haven't tried it yet, I highly recommend it.
