Smoked: Perdomo 10th Anniversary Champagne Corona Extra
Smoked at: West Chester, Ohio
Perdomo 10th Anniversary Champagne Corona Extra is made with Nicaraguan filler, a Nicaraguan binder and covered in a tan Ecuador Connecticut wrapper aged 6 years and triple fermented. The band is bright yellow, big and bold covering most of the top of the cigar. Unmistakably Perdomo.
The flavors are typical mild Connecticut: cedar, cashews & almonds, cream, vanilla, and slight note of spice and earthy grass & hay. The spice turns peppery by the final third. This stick is mild to medium-mild bodied and mild strength.
The construction is solid – nice open draw start to finish, even burn line, reasonable smoke production, and whitish grey ash that held firmly until tapped off.
Perdomo 10th Anniversary Champagne is a nice little morning coffee stick that also pairs well with single malt scotch. It’s a staple for any Connecticut Shade fan’s humidor. A friend smokes these almost exclusively. To my surprise, I had never written a review of this cigar despite smoking it frequently myself for years.
