Cigar Reviewed: Mayflower
Smoked at: Illinois
The wrapper is an exquisite chestnut/chocolate color with a slightly oily look. Nice veins without large stems mark a quality leaf used. This cigar smokes beautifully, volumes of smoke with a very nice draw. I'm smoking the Dusk Toro Gordo (6x60) which according to them has *Notes of cocoa, espresso, oak, and black pepper.
Medium- to full-bodied. *The cigar is firm without being hard or too tightly wrapped to affect draw. Burn is even and not too slow or fast. I had to relight because I neglected it while working but no funny aftertaste. I get hints of nut, some dry cocoa, a slight black pepper on the retrohale in the later half. Definitely a medium/medium heavy but not what I would consider a full-bodied cigar. Just an absolute pleasure to smoke!!
