Montecristo Monte – Review

Cigar Reviewed: Montecristo Monte By Montecristo

Smoked at: St charles

I finally decided to light up a Montecristo Monte I’d been holding onto for a while, and I have to say it didn’t disappoint. I paired it with a cup of coffee while working on some projects at home, and the combination was spot-on. The cigar opens with a smooth and slightly sweet profile, offering a perfect balance of cream, spice, and cocoa-like tones that stay consistent throughout the smoke.

Construction was excellent tight roll, great draw, and an even burn from start to finish. The ash held firm, and the smoke output was dense and aromatic without ever turning harsh. There’s a mild sweetness layered over rich tobacco and a bit of earth, which made it a relaxing and satisfying experience from start to finish.

I’ve been working my way through different Montecristo lines lately, and I’ve yet to find one that disappoints. The Monte stands out for its balance and complexity while still being an easygoing smoke. Perfect with coffee, and definitely one I’d recommend adding to the rotation.

Flavor Notes: Cocoa • Cream • Earth • Mild Spice

Body: Medium-Full

Pairing Suggestion: Coffee, dark chocolate, or a smooth bourbon
