The Macanudo Emissary France was an exceptional cigar. This is definitely in my top 10. I am usually drawn to stronger, more full-bodied cigars, but this was worth the smoke. Upon opening the cigar, I noticed the wrapper was not dry, just the right amount of firmness, with no issues. The cigar had a sweet smell like fresh cut hay. The cigar lit easily and kept burning for the entire smoke. No runs, No touch-ups. First ash dump was approximately 1 1/2" long. The flavor was mild/ medium. The drawl was smooth, very smooth. The berry notes started about 5 minutes into the smoke and continued throughout. A very pleasant smoke. This cigar would go with Bourbon nicely, but I'm biased, I only drink Bourbon. This was a surprising enjoyable smoke. I would definitely give this Macanudo Emissary France a try. it would be well worth your time, in my opinion. Honestly, I don't think I would have ever tried this being a medium bodied cigar, if it weren't for the testing lab. It would have been my loss. I will certainly seek this out in the future.
