Great taste, smooth, coffee and creamy

Cigar Reviewed: Drew Estate Isla del Sol Maduro

I got this cigar in a $40 sampler 12 pack. Cold draw brought coffee, tobacco and a hint of some type of light nut, maybe unsalted cashew?

Upon toasting the foot was a wonderful aroma of coffee with whifts of vanilla and caramel along with tobacco. I was immediately excited to smoke it since I was looking for a good coffee flavored cigar to go along woth my Monster Energy Loca Mocha habit.

First draw was a charred, medium tobacco flavor with a hint of coffee and light vanilla. I had super-charred the foot because I was so caught up in the smell. It soon caught it's footing provided a slowly fading coffee flavor and a mostly creamy smoke until the very end progressing the tobacco flavors more forward as it went. There were hints of roasted nuts (especially at the beginning), cocoa, graham cracker and even a quick showing of chocolate.

The tip is flavored and enjoyable, although my wrapper came undone by the first 1/3. The filler is chopped, the cigar is infused and the construction isn't top notch but I suspect the ones in the value sampler packs aren't quite the same quality, but regardless, it was a flavorful, enjoyable smoke. I can pick these up cheap and will keep them in stock until I find a better coffee stick in the same price range.
