Gispert Toro

Smoked: Gispert Toro

Smoked at: Fairfield, Ohio

Gispert Toro is a Honduran manufactured stick I haven’t smoked in many years. I recall liking the experience, but memory doesn’t serve as well at my age. A refresher course is in order.

Gispert is made with a combination of Honduran, Nicaraguan and Dominican filler, a Domnican binder and is cloaked in a light brown Ecuador Connecticut wrapper.

Cedar, creamy/buttery, tangy spice, earth, grass, a touch of burnt caramel, some puffs of vanilla, cashews, and steely mineral notes, It’s mild to mild-medium bodied. And medium strength – mild, mellow and balanced.

Flawless construction: good open draw, very consistent even burn line, solid smoke output, and white ash that held to almost an inch and tapped off on command.

I like this cigar. Now I remember why. Gispert Toro has balanced flavors in a mild cigar. This is a very good morning coffee stick.
