Smoked at: Pass Christian, MS
The Rocky Patel Freedom Connecticut Toro is a smooth, easygoing smoke with just enough flavor to keep it interesting. At 6 inches with a 52-ring gauge, it burns evenly and draws well, making for a relaxing experience.
Right off the light, you get creamy cedar and toasted almonds, with a little bit of spice coming through as it burns. I’ve seen cocoa notes advertised, but I didn’t really pick up on that. What stood out to me was the overall smoothness and balance—nothing overpowering, just a well-rounded, mild-to-medium smoke. Construction is solid, with a clean burn and firm ash.
I really enjoyed this cigar—it’s exactly what I look for in a Connecticut-wrapped smoke. So much so that I just ordered a box for my humidor. If you’re into smooth, flavorful cigars that don’t overpower, this one’s definitely worth trying.
