I’ve got to start with the one real hiccup the burn. This one fought me. I had to trim a bit, relight, babysit it until it finally settled into an even burn. That kind of start has never really happened to me before with a Camacho. I’ll absolutely try another down the road and see if it was just a one-off.

But once it got going, the experience was pretty pleasant. The flavor profile lined up nicely with what the brand and reviewers describe, though I experienced it in my own way:

The smoke carried a soft, creamy base there was a gentle richness underneath everything.

I picked up earth and cedar (or woody undertones) layering in the background.

There was a touch of spice on the retrohale, just enough to keep things interesting without overpowering.

Occasionally, a light citrus brightness peeked through, especially early on.

I also got hints of nuts or a roasted-nut tone, though subtle.

The chocolate / cocoa tones I mentioned earlier were mild more like an echo than a central flavor.

So, in all, not a bold bomb, but a nicely balanced, mellow-to-medium smoke with depth. For a morning or mid-afternoon pairing (especially with coffee), this cigar really hit the spot.

But after this experience, I’m wondering if that range might sometimes contribute to slower ignition or weird burn behavior.
