San Cristóbal Papagayo XXL

Cold Draw- I’m getting some ripe plum and a little spice on the lips.

Hot Draw- ohh hello spice haha but that’s at first combustion so can’t make a good judgement. After letting it get about 1/2 inch in there is some peppery spice, the fruit is still there but it’s more tangy now. I got the hiccups lol ? anyways there’s a slight sweet taste and some woodsy notes. I am now picking up some chocolate and a sweet earthy taste. I realize I need to expand my pallet more but for what my taste buds are accustomed to I taste like a medium roasted Nicaraguan coffee that has the earthy cocoa notes, a slight sweetness of cedar and a boldness you get drinking it black.

Let’s talk about this beautiful masterpiece! The construction is absolutely beautiful! A dark oily wrapper it’s shimmering in the moonlight, wrapped tight with a good draw. The ash holds up very nicely and is a gorgeous marbled, concrete, gray, and dark ash. This cigar is strong! I smoked a little fast at first and I felt it haha but that usually doesn’t bother me (plus I have a sweet beverage with me ?) but the intensity is like a medium to full. The cigar is definitely full the more you get into it, but man it’s good!

I was looking forward to my next San Cristobal, and this did not disappoint. I will forever be a fan of this brand and Don Peppin. A master at his craft and creator of amazing cigars! Cheers ?
