Cigar Reviewed: Herrera Esteli Habano
Smoked at: Long Beach, MS
I just lit up a Herrera Esteli by Drew Estate Habano, and it’s easily one of the best medium-bodied cigars I’ve had so far. Right off the bat, it’s smooth, rich, and well-balanced—cedar, spice, a little creaminess, and an unexpected citrus note, almost like orange zest. Not overpowering, just enough to add some depth and keep things interesting.
The burn was a little wonky at first, but that might’ve been on me—it’s bright outside today, and I may not have lit it as evenly as I should have. Once it evened out, though, no complaints. The draw is almost perfect, and the smoke output is right where it should be.
Pairing it with my usual “Spicy Physician” beverage, and it’s a great match. The sweetness really brings out the cigar’s caramel and spice, making for a smooth, enjoyable smoke. If you’re into medium-bodied cigars with complexity but no harshness, this one’s a must-try.
